Mia’s First Shoes

It’s official–we have a little lady who is destined to love shoes.  Since Mia wants to stand all the time, and we’re spending lots of time outdoors (Well until this week’s cold spell), it seemed time to get her shoes.  She does have little fur booties, but they were basically used to keep her socks on, so I don’t consider them real shoes.  We headed to Joe’s Family Shoe Store to get her sized and fitted–they carry Stride Rite and we like supporting local businesses.  It’s also the store where we purchased Evan’s first shoes so it was only fitting we go there.

She was a good sport while getting measured (dainty size four), and after trying a few different options we went with Grace Pedipeds.  She tested them out right away on the store’s slide (Note, this is a great place to purchase kids’ shoes b/c they have a decent-sized play area).

So far she seems to like them and has only tried to eat them twice.  Many years of shoe shopping fun to come!
