I won’t be winning any mother of the year awards

Poor Baby Mia has a nasty cold. I took her to our pediatrician yesterday and it’s just upper respiratory, but this is one bad bug. Since most colds last 7-10 days with the peak early on, I’m hoping for an upswing by Thursday as we are supposed to have friends over on Friday and have family plans over the weekend. So poor baby girl isn’t feeling well as it is and I decide to trim her nails- sure enough she moved and I drew blood :(. Then Evan was bouncing off the walls, so we took the kids to the Enchanted Railroad exhibit at the Morton Arboretum where she gets coughed on by another sick little girl (cover your mouth!) 😦 :(. Then we arrive home, and Mia is playing sweetly on the ground until she takes a nose dive and gets a bloody nose 😦 😦 😦 the fun continued at dinner when we let her try avocado that she puked all over me 😦 😦 😦 😦 and now she’s waking every 2-3 hours to cough and nurse. Poor baby girl, mommy is trying but failing miserably tonight 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 Β On a positive note, I did learn that you should only use cool mist vaporizers–they are easier to keep clean and prevent bacteria from forming and safer (according to our pediatrician).
